Overview
The objective of the New Bundaberg Regional Aquatic Facility is to offer a contemporary facility that is accessible throughout the year for fitness enthusiasts, learners, patients seeking therapy, and individuals seeking recreational activities.
The Bundaberg Regional Aquatic Facility will be situated alongside the Bundaberg Multiplex, which already includes a large and contemporary conference centre and the Bundaberg PCYC. This will maximise previous investments and create a distinct, high-performance branded area.
To facilitate regional and state-level events and training camps, a new, covered, 50m, heated competition pool adhering to the FINA standard will be constructed. Additionally, there will be more indoor heated pools and multi-purpose rooms to support fitness, teaching, and therapy programs, thereby creating a facility that can deliver a broad range of comprehensive health and fitness services.
The council has decided to undertake the project in one phase, which will last around three financial years.
The Geotechnical Services Bundaberg team are proudly providing compaction control services including level 1 and compaction testing.
