Site Classification Bundaberg
Accurate site classification is crucial for foundation design, as it determines the appropriate type of footing or foundation and the relevant design parameters. Neglecting to follow the guidelines outlined in the site classification report, based on Australian Standard AS 2870, could result in future foundation defects and damage. Our Bundaberg laboratory conducts soil testing to determine site classification, in accordance with AS 2870. This standard defines seven site classifications that Australian engineers and builders must consider when designing foundations. As part of our Site Classification services, we also offer wind rating and effluent disposal reports.
With over 35 years of experience in soil testing and site classification, we have accumulated extensive data from thousands of soil tests and boreholes across the Bundaberg, Gympie, Hervey Bay, and Sunshine Coast regions. Our extensive experience has enabled us to develop local and regional soil profiles, historical data, and site-specific information, including wind ratings, to provide comprehensive and accurate testing and classification services.
