Our services as a Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA) include onsite inspection and testing by experienced technicians for the duration of the earthworks in accordance with AS 3798 – Guidelines on earthworks for commercial and residential developments.
Level one testing, as defined in AS 3798, provides for full-time inspection for the placement of controlled fill and compaction testing in accordance with AS 1289 – Methods of testing soils for engineering purposes. We use a portable soil moisture density gauge (SMDG) to perform field density testing during the placement of controlled fill (earthworks). Feedback and technical assistance are provided to your nominated earthworks contractor throughout the project to ensure the testing is performed accurately and efficiently.
In addition to our field density testing, we also offer laboratory analysis of soil and aggregate material. We use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to guarantee accurate results that meet the standards set by relevant regulatory bodies.
As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and reliable services, we provide a detailed report outlining the work completed, a summary of test results, site maps, daily site inspection records, and level one certification.
